About me and my way to become a Rolfer

Born and raised in Germany, I exuberantly followed my passion for the arts, painting, and acting. Despite being healthy and strong at the age of 23, I began experiencing painful, shooting back pain that eventually lead me to Rolfing. I was hooked after my first session. I didn't know what it was but something on a deeper level was happening which filled me with excitement and curiosity. After the 10th session I felt so free! It wasn't just that the pain was gone, I also had gained a new understanding of my body. I learned that the physical experience of pain isn't always where you think it is and that our body keeps score of everything. Rolfing opened doors for me both physically and mentally. With new perspective of myself and my place in the world, I packed up my life in Germany and followed my dream to pursue acting in the United States. However, deep inside, I already knew that I wanted to become a Rolfer someday. Being where I am in life today, I know it took the years in between to shape me for this journey. It prepared me to use the Rolf “recipe” but approach each person individually, leaving room and giving options for what shows up with each person. Our body is the "around the clock" witness of our everyday life. It deserves our undivided attention and care. What a profound commitment to make to yourself! I look forward to being part and witness on this exciting and deeply nourishing journey.
